Tibetan Chakra System - Fifths

Chakras are associated with colors, body centers, various human qualities and notes. There are two major systems that you can follow. They are the Vedic and the Tibetan Systems. The Vedic system is the Western diatonic scale starting from note C at the Root chakra. Teachers of Tibetan singing bowl therapy set up singing bowls in a pattern where the intervals between the notes corresponding to the chakras are a fifth apart, with F at the Root chakra. Our bowls follow the Tibetan System.

HOW TO USE:

Sit comfortably on a chair or on the floor. Balance the bowl in the open palm of your non-dominant hand, with your fingers stretched. Do not cup the bowl.
Gently tap the bowl and move the accompanying mallet in a circular motion against the bowl's rim.
